Born and bred in New York, Kristofer Buckle began his career at the Metropolitan Opera after being scouted by an actress in Penn Station for his own unique style.

Following his stint at the ballet, he became Laura Mercier’s booking agent and subbed in for her per her request leading to Steven Meisel falling in love with his work and demanding him for an Italian Vogue shoot later that week which became the first cover of many in his legendary career.

It’s Kristofer’s vast knowledge of makeup and lighting that makes him irreplaceable when creating looks for today’s leading artists. His impeccable eye creates the perfect balance that has consistently made him a popular name with Oscar winning actors, Grammy winning recording artists, world-renowned entertainers and icons.

Kristofer Buckle Cosmetics was launched globally in 2014 at Costco and became a QVC top seller in 2018.

With nearly 100 magazine and album covers, Kristofer continues to inspire and impress fans as well as his peers in the beauty industry.

Kristofer’s current clientele list, from the divas to the top screen sirens, includes Blake Lively, Mariah Carey, Lucy Liu, Sarah Paulson, Gabrielle Union, Penelope Cruz,  and Kelly Ripa.

His work has since been featured on the covers and in the pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone in addition to some of the most iconic music videos of our time. His creative work with photographers Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, Inez & Vinoodh, Ellen Von Unwerth and Patrick Demarchelier has led to an ever-growing list of advertising clients including Christian Dior, Gucci, Procter & Gamble, Coty,  Revlon and Neutrogena.
